Family Time!

This weekend has been great as far as seeing family is concerned. I've seen so many people who I haven't seen in a long time.

Today my aunt and uncle came over for brunch. My mom made a delicious brunch with fresh fruits, waffles, and fresh eggs from her chickens. It was wonderful! My aunt and uncle brought the ingredients for mimosas (a brunch must!) and it was fabulous.

My sister left for her house today, but it was great to see her. She's such a cool chick and I hope to hang out with her more while I'm here.

After everyone left, I took my book outside to my parents yard swing and laid in the sun reading my book and enjoying not having to have headphones in for once to block out the incessant city noises.

It was humid and hot so laying out lasted less than an hour, but it was nice. After that my mom and I went to have pedicures. I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to treat myself to a pedicure in a long time, so that was nice.

Right now, I'm helping my mom make a pound cake which we shall smother in strawberries and whipped cream for desert! Yum! The only thing that could make my day better would be having Johnny here.
