Another perk is that a group in Virginia tirelessly clips thousands of coupons to be sent to various bases overseas. I always knew about this coupon program but have never taken advantage of it. Yesterday, I grabbed two large bags of coupons and sifted through them before going to the grocery store. I ended up saving $40 on my groceries by simply using the coupons. As an added perk, we are allowed to use coupons at military bases overseas six months beyond their expiration date. One of my favorite scores of yesterday was getting a shampoo and conditioner for $1 for both products!
I just wanted to remind anyone living in Yokosuka that these bags of coupons can be found on the 1st and 4th floor of the community center. Grab a bag, sift through it and then put back the coupons you do not want (in the bag, don't throw loose coupons in the bin).
Thanks so much to the manufacturers who accept these expired coupons and the people back home who work so hard to cut out thousands of coupons for us to use. It was a real help!
