News is Trickling In - Update 1

Here's what I know:

1. I have sent the 40 day notice to bring a pet into Japan via e-mail to the Narita Tokyo Airport as we believe this is the airport we will be flying into. I have given Tokyo about a weeks notice. They probably won't like this, but what else am I supposed to do? I hope I receive a response from them soon as they need to send me an approval number that I include on all pet import forms.

2. There is an 80% chance that April 28th will be the day we leave for Japan. I must leave from San Diego, so I plan to fly to San Diego on April 27th. I have already bought my ticket.

3. I have made an appointment for Wylee to go to a vet in Alabama on Tuesday the 26th to get his health certificate. On the same day, I will drive to Nashville to have all of Wylee's paperwork certified by a USDA office (only locations were in Nashville or Montgomery....Montgomery is 4 hours away and Nashville is only 2...)

That's all I know for now. The wheels are turning. At this point, I can't even think about any steps beyond getting to Japan smoothly. Getting a house, learning the train system, pay, lodging...these are all things that are off my radar right now. I will update more as I know.
