We made it to Japan! We are currently sitting in the Tokyo Narita Airport waiting for transport to the Naval Base (a three hour bus ride). Then from there I'm not sure what's supposed to happen. I'm looking forward to chilling out in our Navy Lodge room because I am TIRED. I have a crazy case of jet lag. I slept a good amount on the plane, but when it's 5pm where you are and it's 3am where you were....it's hard to convince your mind and body to get on the same page.
So far John and I have seen an import brochure that included an anime girl riding a banana and a man with a parachute made of meat. Not sure what that was all about, but John and I had a good giggle over the overtly silly Japanese brochure.
I've also grabbed some salted and dried seaweed to eat (I love seaweed) AND John and I both have been drinking some fantastic green tea that's made with toasted rice. The wonderful part is is there's no added sugar, so it's just a great green tea taste.
Okay, that's all for now. Will update more later.
