Here's a picture of the sweet pink bike I've been using while staying at the Navy Lodge. When John and I realized walking everywhere wasn't practical (it's humid and you arrive looking like you just got done with a heavy run) we immediately purchased bikes. This bike was only $100 and it has been $100 well spent. I ride to the kennel everyday to visit Wylee. For the record, no one looks good in a bike helmet.
I'm a little worried about Wylee. Yesterday he didn't eat the second treat I brought him (that's a first) and he just acted tired. I took him to the vet yesterday and noted my concerns. He has another appointment in two weeks to check up on him. He's a sensitive dog and being in the kennel has been really stressful for him. We won't be able to bring him home until late October.
John's already feeling out people who might want to sell their cars. We have to keep in mind that the house we want to live in is on a REALLY narrow two way road. Like I mentioned before, the road is so narrow that if you encounter a car going the opposite way you are, one of you has to back up into the closest driveway and wait for the other one to pass. Also some of the turns up the road are very tight. So, we need a small car with a flat frontend. We found someone wanting to sell their car for $500, but the car was too big.
Well, I don't have much to do today. A lot of the services on base are closed the first Wednesday of each month to do employee training. I'm going to go see Wylee and find out where we can do our laundry today.
Hope everyone else has a good day!
He doesn't get out until OCTOBER?! That's unreal! I had to reread that sentence just to be sure that that's what you had typed. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI like your bike, though, and I'm sure that if anyone can make a helmet work, it's you!
Yeah. October :(....if the USDA in Nashville had agreed to stamp all but the form I was missing, it would have only been 100 days. However, since they refused to stamp anything snce I was missing one form, it put us back to 180 days :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the bike helmet encouragement, buuuuut...it's pretty bad :P
