Having a blast

Hello again! I updated the blog title to Adventures in Yokosuka as now that I'm officially here, it's an adventure. Above is a picture of me holding up two of the drinks I've tried. The green one is green tea. The delightful thing about green tea drinks here is that there is no added sugar....it's just brewed green tea served cold and it is wonderful.
The second drink is called Aquarius. I mistakengly thought it was water, but it's more of a carbonated drink with lemon....like a soda water with lemons and maybe sugar? It's hard to say. John and I went food shopping this morning and bought a bunch of noodle bowls. Since we're staying in the Navy Lodge for about 3-4 weeks, it's best we have food on hand instead of trying to eat out for every meal.

The NEX (Navy Exchange Store) near the Navy Lodge has a lot of grocery items and takes our debit card without charging an overseas usage fee. So, this is good news. They also have hot breakfast plates. John had Spam and eggs and rice this morning (I know it sounds gross, but it was delicious). I had a breakfast sandwich with a green tea\ and coffee.

Okay, that's all for now. :)
