I am in the San Francisco Airport an hour away from boarding our flight to Tokyo. We woke up at 4am this morning and rushed ourselves and Wylee to the airport. We really cut it close with timing. Our flight began boarding at 7am and we were at the gate by 6:45am. Putting a pet on board a plane takes a lot of time and coordination on behalf of the airline.
Now we're waiting for our flight to Tokyo to board. Tornados hit near my parents house yesterday evening. I was really worried about them, but my mom says everything is okay there. This is good news. They are without power, though so hopefully that gets resolved soon.
I can't believe we're headed to Japan! See you late blog. I'll update the first chance I get. My cellphone will be very expensive to operate in Japan (international roaming charges and all) so it will remain off until I can figure out something.
